Parent Communications with Their Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
In a new study, CSMRE faculty affiliate J Ganz joined with colleagues to parental communications with their children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Children with ASD sometimes have trouble communicating, which can lead to frustration and difficulties in forming relationships with others. Results from their study showed that parent-mediated communications can help, especially when the parents use different modes to communicate. The children’s behaviors also improved.
